• Responsible for design, setup, installation, and implementation of databases, data maintenance (re-indexing, integrity checks, log file monitoring), performance tuning (indexing, compression drive distribution, load balancing, replication), and documentation and implementation of SQL server disaster recovery models.
• Candidate will be working in both developments and support environment.
• Complete installs, add patches, perform upgrades, process job tickets, test and verify backups and recovery.
• Coordinate routine server maintenance and implement infrastructure changes as needed.

Required Skills:

• 2+ solid years of SQL DBA experience in a multi-database environment, with in-depth industry knowledge of SQL Server 2000/05 and clustering. Experienced/trained in SQL Server 2005 is preferred.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting SQL Server databases
• Experience monitoring database exports, table space, and extents reports.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, upgrading database application software, completing database replication, data backup and recovery procedures.
  Experience with SQL Stored Procedures and data extraction routines to import/export data from the repositories.
• Demonstrated expertise in Query Optimization and Tuning, including cross database and cross server queries.
• Ability to configure, install, and maintain multiple database instances.
• Experience supporting clustered environments is a plus.
• 24x7, on call support experience.
